FINAL REFLECTION

When I saw this lesson on the internet nothing created in my mind. Actually to be honest I didn’t think anything about this lesson, I only added it.At the begining of this semester I wrote this sentences in my first reflection.In course of time learn a kot of thing but I have a lot of responsibilitilies about course .It was tiring and difficult for me.Nevertheless I was happy ,I  learned a lot of things which will be usuful for me and my education life.We have to change our methods in language teaching or add new things related with technology for a better education so this course is very important for us.

I  will want to use that I have learned I I hope I will use all of them in my classes.

Weebly and Second Life

I missed last week class but I learned our topic on facebook group .Our final topics were “weebly”  and “second life”. I get some information about it.Weebly gives everyone a surprisingly easy way to create a high-quality site that they are proud to share.I think weebly is very funy site, we will create our final project,I hope it will be easy.

Podcasting

At eleventh week, we talked about podcasting I do not hear anything about pod casting, but I learned information  about it.Podcasts are digital media files (most often audio, but they can be video as well), which are produced in a series. You can subscribe to a series of files, or podcast, by using a piece of software called a podcatcher.And also Podcasting is an easy and powerful way to communicate your ideas and messages.You can use audioboo.fm when you want to create and publish a podcast.I   enjoy audioboo.fm ,We can record our voice. We can share with other people.

Storyjumper and digital storytelling..

At tenth week, our topic was digital storytelling. Movie Maker is a fun and easy to use video editing program that allows you to make home movies, photo albums.It is also widely used in schools as a tool for class projectand allows students and teachers to create wonderful presentations.In addition thisStoryJumper is a site that gives parents, kids, and authors tools for creating, sharing, and reading children’s stories. Stories can be shared online, electronically, or printed as hard-copies.

Both of them very useful and fun for education especially for language education.

Facebook,Twiter and Skype

At ninth week, we talked about Facebook, Twitter and Skype.Facebook , twitter and skype are the most popular of  social media sites.

Firstly ,Facebook is very usefull social networking service because  Facebook users create a profile page that shows their friends and networks information about themselves.  The profile typically includes the following: Information, Status, Friends, Friends in Other Networks, Photos, Notes, Groups, and The Wall.

Twitter is also a popular social networking website.People write short updates, often called “Tweets” of 140 characters or fewer.

And also Skype to chat, talk and video chat with other Skype users on computers is free. Skype is  useful for video chatting not only using computers, but also with certain mobile devices.

 I have twitter,skype and facebook accounts.All of them very useful and fun.

 

 

 

WiziQ

At eighth week, our topic was wiziq.WizIQ is an online education platform, virtual classroom software and complete course delivery system for teachers, trainers, colleges and universities, high schools, and training and tutoring centers.Students can learn anything they want from anywhere Morever students can search for a teacher in their subject, and teachers can set their own availability, teaching preferences and rates for tutoring. 

The site is also a handy networking and scouting tool. Through it, you can meet other professionals working in the same field as yourself.They are very useful. They give us an opportunity to teach or learn online.If you use it, you don’t have to go to school,It can be used in every area l think very well.

ONLİNE LEARNİNG

At the seventh week we talked about online learning?We have learned two useful sites for online learning and teaching.Firstly teacher talked about  www.Nicenet.org is a free discussion forum which can be used by all educators. A discussion forum is a public classroom forum for creating, discussing and reflecting on ideas. And then we talked aboutwww.compus.dokeos.com  is the  largest website within the world for online learning.You can add quizzes for student.They can chat and ask questions each other. They can learn their grades from there.Can online learning be as effective as classroom learning? The variety, flexibility, and technological skills online courses can offer are essential for the twenty-first-century learner. The virtual classroom is just as effective as the traditional model.

 

 

        We talked about Prezi last week.  Prezi is a great presentation tool for spicing up the mundane Power Point that you’ve been using for the past 10 years.  It allows for new kinds of visualizations and opportunities to link imagery to motion, which in turn creates a deeper understanding and retention duration.  there are advantages and disadvantages that exist. Prezi is not your typical slide-based presentation tool. Prezi is completely free. Compared to PowerPoint, which is both a paid application and not accessible everywhere, Prezi provides access from any web-enabled computer. This is great for students who may not have the office suite on their home computers. Students and staff can easily create Free accounts on Prezi using their facebook accounts as well.

I know I included this as an advantage, but there are certain circumstances where it can be a disadvantage as well. If you have limited wireless internet access, or if your internet connection at your building is unreliable, a web-based tool may become more of a hassle than its worth. One nice thing that Prezi allows is exporting of your completed presentation, making it viewable offline. This is recommended for anyone relying on the Prezi for class or a presentation as it can be used as a backup should your internet fail.

Overall, Prezi is a great tool that many would find very useful in the classroom.

On the fourth  week ,our teacher talked about Yahoo groups and facebook. Yaho’s where people with a shared interest meet, get to know each other, and stay informed. You can share messages ,pohotos,groups events and links in Yahoo groups . Facebook as the most used social networking service in the world.I do not use yahoo but I have a facebook account so I will write  about facebook.

At the third week Wiki and PB work

On the third week our lesson was about wiki and PB work. A wiki is a server program that allows users to collaborate in forming the content of a Web site. PB work is secure, reliable, and accessible from any computer or mobile device, so your team can use it anywhere they go. You can even use it with clients or partners. And because it’s hosted, you don’t need to download any software or manage any servers. Whatever you’re working on, you can customize PB work to make your team more productive. Google Docs is an online word processor that lets you create and format text documents and collaborate with other people in real time. I think that both of them are useful for our students.
